Welcome to the home of Dublin Roller Racing.
Debuted in Dublin during the Cycle Messenger World Championships in 2007, roller racing is an exciting form of bike racing that is accessible to all.
Races are run over a distance of 500 metres, with 2 identical bikes set up on stationary rollers. An overhead display shows the crowd and racers the distance covered.
Having been a mainstay of bike messenger events for many years, roller racing, or Goldsprints as it is commonly known, has been growing at an enormous rate and is now being enjoyed by a much wider group of people. With races taking place in bars and clubs, the short, intense nature of the racing (races are generally run in about 30 seconds), and the fact that anyone can race, all lead to a great night out.
The events are complemented by a thumping soundtrack generated by our resident DJ’s 25Sean and DJ Take Kerr, while our MC Neal makes everyone feel welcome.
Our next event is taking place on Saturday the 13th of February in the Bernard Shaw pub on Sth. Richmond st. If you fancy coming down I guarantee you a great night. Head to the sign up page and stick down your details. Full details of the event will be posted here soon.
